How many people can I have at my event? 

Each building or space has its own capacity, which is listed in the info and documents regarding the building.  Check out our buildings here. 

Can I serve alcohol at my event?

Yes you may serve alcohol at your event. You will need to obtain a Special Occasion Permit from the AGCO. Apply here.  

Can NCAS serve the alcohol at my event?

No –  we do not provide this service, but you can obtain your own Special Occasion Permit and hire/obtain Smart Serve certified bartenders.​

Can I use my own bartenders?

You may provide your own bartenders. All bartenders must be Smart Serve certified. You will also need to obtain a Special Occasion Permit from the AGCO. Apply here.  

Do I need insurance?

Yes! Everyone renting any of our facilities (regardless of whether or not you will have alcohol at your event) must purchase a liability insurance policy (with liquor liability coverage if you have an SOP). We’ve partnered with PAL INSURANCE to give our event hosts access to a preferred rate on coverage. To get a quote and purchase a policy, Apply here. ​

What are the insurance requirements?

All renters are required to provide proof of liability insurance prior to their event.

• A minimum of $2 million in Commercial General Liability insurance is required
• The policy must include $500,000 in Tenant’s Legal Liability (TLL) coverage
• The Norfolk County Agricultural Society (NCAS) must be listed as an Additional Named Insured on the policy

Proof of insurance must be provided before the rental agreement can be finalized.
