Help make the 2026 Norfolk County Fair happen!
The Norfolk County Fair welcomes more than 110,000 visitors each October, and it takes an incredible team of temporary staff to bring the Fair to life. Whether you’re looking for a few shifts during Fair week, extra income, or seasonal work, we’d love to hear from you.
Fair Dates: October 6–12, 2026
Available Positions
Building Supervisors
- Open and close buildings, monitor activities, assist exhibitors and visitors, report issues.
Retail & Bar Cashiers
- Operate cash registers/POS systems while providing friendly customer service.
General Labourers
- Assist with set-up, moving equipment, signage, fencing, and general event support.
Facility Maintenance Crew
- Grounds maintenance, minor repairs, garbage collection, event support.
Janitorial Team Members
- Keep buildings and washrooms clean throughout the event.
Office & Administrative Support
- Answer phones, assist exhibitors and visitors, data entry, general office duties.
Event Set-Up & Tear-Down Crew
- Help prepare the grounds before Fair and dismantle equipment afterward.
Seasonal Contract Opportunities
Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
Part-time contract supporting marketing, digital content and social media before and during the Fair.
Volunteer Coordinator
Part-time contract coordinating volunteer recruitment, scheduling and communications.

Schedule
- Fair Week (October 6–12)
- Some positions begin in September for setup.
- Some continue after Fair for teardown.
- Day, evening and weekend shifts possible.
Requirements
- Minimum age 16
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Ability to stand for extended periods (where applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (where applicable)
- Smart Serve required for bar positions (or willing to obtain before first shift)
- Criminal Record Check (only if required for specific positions)
