Become a Fair Volunteer!

Norfolk County Fair • October 6 – 12, 2026

The Norfolk County Fair is powered by hundreds of incredible volunteers who help create one of Ontario’s premier agricultural fairs. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to be involved throughout the Fair, we’d love to have you on our team!

Volunteer opportunities range from greeting guests and supporting competitions to helping behind the scenes with event setup, hospitality, agricultural education, and more.

All volunteers receive:

  • Fair admission on the day of their shift
  • Parking
  • Volunteer T-shirt
  • Snacks, water, and Fair food vouchers
  • Training and all required materials
  • A fun and rewarding volunteer experience!

Pre-Fair Office Support

Help behind the scenes with data entry, customer service, and general Fair preparations in the weeks leading up to the Fair. If you have a few hours to spare, we’d love your help!

Fair Set-Up

Help transform the Fairgrounds before opening day by assisting with signage, displays, event setup, and other general preparations.

Committee Support

Support one of the many volunteer committees that bring the Norfolk County Fair to life! Whether your passion is horses, livestock, homecraft, gardening, photography, agricultural education, Kids World, or another area, committee volunteers assist with planning, exhibit setup, competitions, registrations, awards, and event-day operations before and during the Fair.

Volunteer opportunities are available with many committees, and we’d be happy to connect you with the right fit based on your interests.

Opportunities for Groups

Looking for a fun and rewarding fundraiser for your organization? Community groups, sports teams, service clubs, schools, and non-profit organizations are invited to volunteer together at the Norfolk County Fair.

Groups can earn a financial contribution while supporting key Fair operations such as Parking, Admission Gates, 50/50 Sales, Waste Management, and other event support roles. Training is provided, and we’ll work with your group to schedule shifts that fit your availability.

Pre-Fair Competition Exhibitor Drop-Off Support

Welcome competition exhibitors by providing directions, answering questions, assisting with wayfinding, and helping ensure exhibits are delivered to the right location.

When: October 4–5

Pre-Fair Exhibitor & Vendor Load-In Support

Help exhibitors and vendors get Fair-ready by assisting with check-in, directions, unloading, and move-in logistics.

Support Fair competitions behind the scenes by entering judging results and assisting the team.

Information Services

Be the friendly face of the Fair by welcoming guests, answering questions, providing directions, and distributing maps.

Demo Derby Admission

Welcome guests to one of the Fair’s biggest events by scanning tickets, applying wristbands, and directing patrons to their seats.

When: Monday, October 12 | 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Rec Centre Ag Awareness & Kids Activity Zone

Support family fun by assisting with interactive agricultural activities, games, crafts, and hands-on learning experiences for children.

50/50 Ambassadors

Help raise funds for the Fair by promoting and selling 50/50 tickets while engaging with fairgoers across the grounds.

Young Canada Day Grandstand Ambassador

Support thousands of local students by helping create a safe, organized, and welcoming environment during Young Canada Day.

When: Tuesday, October 6 | 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Concert Admission & Support Team

Help create an incredible concert experience by scanning tickets, applying wristbands, and welcoming guests on concert nights.
